Meet Anya

Anya Ahuja, Advanced Clinical Intern

I am committed to cultivating a kind and safe therapeutic environment. With sensitivity and humor, my hope is to work alongside you to better understand the root causes of your struggles and to develop healthier and more sustainable patterns of behavior. I utilize an integrative approach, meaning we will collaborate to customize treatment based on your individual needs. I pull from a range of therapeutic methods, with a foundation in psychodynamic psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

My areas of interest include providing trauma-informed care to adults and adolescents struggling with anxiety, complex family dynamics, and perfectionism. I am also passionate about recovery from process addictions, for those who struggle with drugs and alcohol, eating disorders, or workaholism. With a previous career in investment banking in New York City, I deeply understand the pressures and intensity of the city and world we all live in.

I am currently pursuing my Master's in Mental Health Counseling at Northwestern University and hold a Bachelor of Arts in English, Psychology, and Jewish Studies from Georgetown University. Outside of session, you can find me in Central Park with my golden retriever, Moose, playing tennis or skiing with my family, or hyper analyzing Taylor Swift lyrics.
