Accepting new clients in-person and online

I approach therapy as a collaborative and deeply human process, where we work together to understand what you are going through. I believe a strong, genuine connection is the foundation of meaningful change, and I aim to create a space where you can show up as yourself without judgment or pressure. Each person heals in their own way, and I don't think there is one correct path. Everyone is unique, and so is the approach.

My work is grounded in multicultural awareness, shaped by my own background growing up as a Chinese-American in rural Virginia, where my identity was often questioned and I was still finding confidence in who I was. That experience taught me that everyone comes from their own pathway with their own stories to tell, and I try to meet each person with that understanding rather than any assumption of what their experience should look like.

I see therapy as a place where we navigate and unlock the moments we feel blocked off from, so we can ultimately resonate with them and heal. I value comfort, clarity, silence, energy, and vulnerability in the therapeutic relationship, and each has a role in the work we do together. My approach draws on psychodynamic, person-centered, and multicultural perspectives, with attention to how the past lives in the present and how each person makes meaning in their own way. At its center is a belief that each of us carries the innate capability to have control over our lives and to feel fulfilled by who we choose to be.

Whether you are navigating a transition, feeling stuck, or wanting to understand yourself better, I aim to support you in moving toward a life that feels more aligned and authentic to you. When I am not in the office, I am usually nerding out over something, whether that is Game of Thrones lore or tactical games like Valorant, which I played competitively in college for the University of Virginia. I think the things we geek out about reveal a lot about us, and I am always happy to meet people where their passions are.
