Meet Dina

Dina Borisova, Advanced Clinical Intern

I believe in the power of healing and in the quiet strength people carry, even when they feel at their lowest. My work centers on supporting those moving through life transitions, grief, low self-esteem, perfectionism, boundary challenges, trauma, intimacy concerns, and relationship or family patterns that feel difficult to break. I am especially drawn to helping clients who are holding pain, shame, or old stories about themselves—yet are still longing for a new beginning.

In the therapy room, I work through a Psychodynamic lens, exploring how early relationships and unconscious patterns affect present-day struggles. I integrate Existential, CBT, and solution-focused approaches to help clients gently challenge beliefs that no longer serve them and build practical tools for daily life. My style is warm, direct, collaborative, and grounded in accountability—supporting meaningful insight and lasting change for each of my clients.

I understand that our histories, families, and cultural messages shape not only how we relate to others, but also how we learn to relate to ourselves. I approach these layers with depth, sensitivity, and curiosity, creating space to explore how past experiences echo into the present. Having grown up between two cultural worlds, I am attuned to the tensions and gifts within both individualistic and collectivist family systems, and I support clients navigating intergenerational and intercultural dynamics with compassion and clarity. I offer therapy in both English and Russian.

Outside of my clinical work, I cherish quality time with family, especially my beloved grandmother (“Babushka”), whose wisdom and lessons continue to shape how I see the world. I enjoy discovering new restaurants, and losing myself in a good documentary that deepens my understanding of people, and the world around them.
