Meet Jesse

Jesse Chung, Advanced Clinical Intern

Accepting new clients in-person and online

My approach to therapy is psychodynamic and integrates techniques from narrative therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. As someone who moved around a lot in their youth, I understand the struggles of navigating instability and disruption. My aim is to create a space where you feel safe and motivated to find your story and start narrating again. My reflective strategies include appropriately addressing the past and the future to ultimately return to the present.

My experiences as a collegiate athlete inform my approaches to doubt, negative thoughts, anxiety, depression, and emotional instability. These are all human experiences and my aim is to help individuals of diverse backgrounds pave their unique paths with balance, resilience, and self-compassion.

I completed my Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Emory University and am obtaining my Masters in Counseling at Northwestern University. In my spare time I enjoy playing soccer, reading and writing poetry, cooking, and hiking.
