Robert Said, Advanced Clinical Intern
Accepting new clients in-person and online
I strive to cultivate a therapeutic environment that is open, honest and practical. I believe that therapy is a collaborative effort, and that developing strong rapport and mutual understanding are the building blocks of a successful therapeutic relationship. I am passionate about helping people navigate the challenges in their lives while working towards acceptance and developing solutions. My therapeutic approach is person-centric, and is influenced by CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-focused Therapy, Psychodynamic Theory and more.
When I am not in the office, I love doing anything outside—particularly distance running, golf and pickleball. I am also an avid cruciverbalist (crossword puzzle geek), chess player and history buff.
I am a graduate student at Northwestern University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Prior to transitioning into this field, I worked in various roles in the finance industry. I also hold an MBA from the University of Virginia, and a BA from Dartmouth College.
