Meet Saba

Saba Askari, Advanced Clinical Intern

I draw from psychodynamic, existential, and strengths-based approaches to help clients uncover the deeper layers of their experiences. We might explore dreams, self-expression, or narrative work to understand the subconscious roots of your choices and behaviors. At a pace that feels right for you, we’ll look at your “hardware” (your body) and “software” (your mind) and learn how to harmonize them so you can feel more balanced, resilient, and aligned with your goals.

As the New York–born daughter of Iranian-Jewish immigrants, I understand what it’s like to navigate complex identities and cultural backgrounds. I also know how strange and sometimes overwhelming it can feel to be in a body and try to connect with others — especially in the digital age. My lifelong artistic practice and work in the art world have given me a deep appreciation for creativity, curiosity, and self-expression as tools for healing.

I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Visual Art at Columbia University and am currently earning my Master’s in Counseling at Northwestern University. Outside of my work with clients, I enjoy swimming, forest bathing, and exploring museums.
