Meet Sydney
Sydney Kowalski, Advanced Clinical Intern
I approach therapy as a collaborative and deeply human process, where we work together to better understand your experiences and what you’re going through. I believe that a strong, genuine connection is at the foundation of meaningful change, and I aim to create a space where you feel comfortable showing up as yourself without judgment or pressure.
My approach is influenced by psychodynamic, existential, and person-centered perspectives, but at the center of my work is a genuine interest in you, your perspective, your worldview, and the unique experiences that have shaped who you are. I believe that each person carries an inherent capacity for growth and resilience, even amid challenges, and I aim to support you in connecting with that strength in a way that feels authentic to you.
I hold deep respect for the ways our life experiences shape who we are. Many of the challenges we face are connected to meaningful parts of our story, and I approach this work with curiosity and care. Whether you’re navigating a life transition, feeling stuck, or wanting to better understand yourself. I aim to support you in making sense of your experiences and developing a stronger connection with yourself.
I come to this work with an appreciation for the complexity of human experience, shaped in part by my own background as a transracial adoptee. This has deepened my understanding of identity, belonging, and the layered nature of personal experience. I value listening closely, meeting you where you are, and creating a space where you don’t feel the need to filter yourself. My goal is to support you in gaining clarity, building insight, and moving towards a life that feels more aligned and authentic to you.
