Meet Wes
Wes Higgins, Advanced Clinical Intern
I believe that everyone has a story to tell. The creative work of therapy is coming to understand oneself as a whole in the process of acceptance and change. I take a collaborative approach in creating an authentic connection through honest dialogue. Over the course of therapy, self-discovery and self-compassion are facilitated through an interweaving exploration of your history, everyday problems, and future possibilities.
I am influenced by psychodynamic, acceptance and commitment therapy, and existential therapy while completing graduate studies at Brooklyn College. Above all, as a therapist, I offer judgment-free curiosity. I want to understand who you are as a living, breathing person and how you relate to the world and others. I am eager to work with clients from all walks of life who may struggle with depression, anxiety, and loneliness on their journey to becoming their realized selves.
